Winners 60 and Over Singles

The 060 singles were finalised on Thursday at Club Mulwala.

The Greens were running freely and the members of Club Mulwala looked after O&M and the players very well….thank you.  Many thanks also to Woodsy for umpiring.

The semifinal scores were Garry Sanders defeating Ian Price 21/6 Anne Miles defeating Claire Sanders 21/7   All from YMGCR!  In the other semi Mary Tragardh, Mrytleford defeated Deb Crothers, Kiewa 22/17 and Rob Bartel, Kiewa defeated Dale Mastenbroek,  Kiewa 21/16

The final saw some hard-fought bowls by all players.  Rob Bartel got off to a very handy start leading by seven shots against Garry Sanders.  Garry then made his move winning seven of the next eleven ends, but Rob secured his O&M title by winning the last two ends. Final score 22/16

A similar scenario saw Mary Tragardh get off to a very handy start leading by ten on the tenth end.  Anne Miles made a comeback winning the next six ends to bring the score Anne’s way to 18/13 Mary was not going to go away and won six out of the next eight ends to secure her O&M title.
