VALE – Ted Hovard

For those who may not be aware of the sudden and sad passing of  Ted Hovard during the Christmas New Year break.

Ted was a recent member of the Region’s Board and had been heavily involved in bowls administration at club and Region level for many years and was always prepared to speak up on issues to ensure that regional bowls continued to advance and not stagnate, this was particularly true in Pennant where Ted spent many years on our Pennant Committee. Ted was not afraid to put his hand up at club and the Region when people where needed to ensure good management of our sport – he will be sorely missed.

The funeral for Corowa RSL member and former member of the Board of the Ovens & Murray Bowls Region, Ted Hovard, will be held at Tobin Bros Corowa at 2:00 pm Wednesday, followed by a wake at the RSL club. If you are attending, you are asked to be in bowls uniform as a guard of honour is planned.
