Tawonga Mount Beauty – End of an Era

The Pennant committee has been advised that the Tawonga Mount Beauty Bowls Club will cease participation in any form of Pennant play as from the conclusion of Round 14 of this season’s competition.

As advised by the club’s secretary: From our already depleted playing strength, we will lose at least three players, making it impossible for us to consider any form of amended or altered styles of competition. A sad day for us but you of course will have noted our B4 ladder position throughout the year. It has been a permanent struggle to field a team, even with the use of substitutes.

It will be sad not to have Tawonga Mount Beauty in our Pennant competition next season. They have been a powerhouse in their respective grades (Weekend Divisions B4 and earlier Division C) over many years.

We wish their members all the best for the future and hope to see them on the Greens somewhere.
