Results – Women’s O&M State Fours – Ovens and Murray Bowls Region Inc

 

RESULT OF  BV OVENS & MURRAY WOMEN’S  STATE FOURS FINAL 

The final was played between a composite team of Mary Tragadh skip, Kerri Leask third, Cheryl Lewis second and Paulene Clearson lead against a Wangaratta team skipped by Lyn Kahlefeldt, Bev Hogan third, Jodie Fruend second and Lyn Seir leading.

The Wangaratta team started really well leading 11 / 0 after 6 ends.

Mary’s team commenced their run winning 6 of the next 7 ends to trail 8 / 12 after 13 ends. Lyn’s team stretched the lead scoring 4 shots on the next 2 ends to lead 16 / 8. Mary’s team scored 2 on end 16, followed by singles on the two final ends, but the Wangaratta team were victorious winning 16 / 12 and will represent Ovens & Murray at Champions Week in April. Well done Wangaratta, it is great to see a club team so excited with their win and having beaten some very good teams throughout the series
