Results – Semi/Final Bowls Vic Triples

The Region Semis & Final of Ladies & Men’s Triples were played at Wangaratta on Nov 22 nd 2020

MEN’S

The Men’s Semi was played between J. Lefevres  YMGCR team and B. Bickerton’s Benalla team.  After being level at 5 all on the fifth end,  Bobs team went to a 15 – 10 lead on the twelfth end before Jim and his team  won 21 – 16 to advance to the final.

The Final between J Lefevre  A Lefevre  and  G.Sanders  versus Tyson Cromie, Tim Cromie and Younger brother Coby, Yarrawonga was  taken out by the father & sons combination winning 17- 8

LADIES

Ladies Semi’s  played  between Nancy Duursma, Glenice Campbell and Merylyn Milthorpe of Rutherglen  against Anne Miles, Claire Sanders and Laureen Smith YMGCR and in the other semi was Kylie Whitehead, Mary Tragardh and Caroline Riley a composite  team versus Kerry Leask, Gail Banfield, and Sue Middleton another composite team.

In the Miles , Duursma game they were 10 all on the tenth end  before levelling again on the 17th end and in a very exciting finish the Rutherglen girls held game until Anne’s last bowl drew shot to win by one.

Kylies team  in the other semi led all the way to defeat Kerry’s team 23- 10

The final between Kylie Whitehead and team against Anne Miles team was a repeat of last seasons final with Kylies team having a convincing win with a score of 21-9
