Results – O&M State Pairs

Sectional Play Results

Wangaratta Bowls Club hosted the first day of this season’s O&M State Events on Sunday. The Men’s and Women’s Pairs saw 72 players contest the sectional play on the free running greens.

There were four Sections in the Women’s Event with the winners of each section as follows:

Section 1:         Claire Sanders and Anne Miles 3 Wins plus 11 Shots

Section 2:         Mary Paton and Peta Mattys 2 Wins plus 26 Shots

Section 3:         Helen Murtagh and Cheryl Lewis 1 Win plus 7 Shots

Section 4:         Anne Corcoran and Kylie Alexander 2 ½ Wins plus 40 Shots

The men had 6 sections with the winners being as follows:

Section 1:   Peter McLarty and Garry Sanders 3 Wins plus 32 Shots

Section 2:   Trevor Selwood and Phil Davern 3 Wins plus 24 Shots

Section 3:   Scott Widdison and Mason Bayliss 3 Wins plus 43 Shots

Section 4:   David Lindsay and Peter Roberts 3 Wins plus 16 Shots

Section 5:   Andrew Hirst and (sub-Ken Widdison) for Stuart McNeill 3 Wins plus 17 Shots

Section 6:   Shawn McMahon and (sub-Adam Larkins) for Tom Hynes 3 Wins plus 14 Shots

Post Sectional play will continue next week at Wangaratta with Women’s Semi Finals and Final to be played starting at 9.30am and the Men’s Quarters, Semis and Final to be played starting at 9.00am. Ham & Salad Roll lunches will again be available to order for players and spectators (you can pre order through maurie.braden@gmail.com).

The Finals series draws are on the Bowlslink Results Portal along with all of Sunday’s sectional play results. Men’s Sections 1 and 4 have byes in the Quarter Finals.
