MEN’S STATE FOURS FINAL PLAYED AT COROWA CIVIC SUNDAY 20TH FEBRUARY 22
The Wangaratta Teams of Ian Brimblecombe (S) Adrian Pantling, Ethan Fruend and Craig Fruend and Maurie Braden (S) Dilun Filuk, Trevor Sellwood, and Greg Braden played the Final of the Men’s State Fours at Corowa Civic BC on a very good Green in fine sunny weather this morning.
Ian’s team after being 3 down after 2 ends picked up a 2 and 2 fours in the next 3 ends to lead 10/3. Maurie scored 2 on end 6, Ian scored 2 on end 7 and 1 shot on end 8 to lead 13/5. Maurie’s team scored a single shot on end 9 but Ian’s team added 3 shots on ends 10& 11 to lead 16/6. Maurie’s team added 6 shots to 4 over the next 7 ends and Ian Brimblecombe’s rink are the O & M Fours Champions winning 20/12 and will represent O&M at Champions Week.
