Report – 2022 LADIES REGIONAL SIDES

The O&M ladies regional sides teams competed at Echuca-Moama over three days.

The greens at both venues were running freely making it possible for some great bowls and fierce competition.

The first game was a win against the metro team of Eastern Ranges, coming away with a win +5

Friday afternoon ‘s game was played in the rain changing conditions for the players. Unfortunately our momentum going into the second game was dashed by a -11 loss to another metro team Yarra

Saturday saw two losses and one win.  The first loss was only two shots and the second 9 shots .  The team rallied against Wimmera district in the last game of the day to come away with a win +7

Sunday the game against Gippsland came down to the wire with O&M holding game with one bowl to go….the shot was slightly overweight but sat on bowls directly behind the head to create a measure. O&M lost the measure with the slightest of margins

Game seven and the last game in sectional play saw us finish on a high winning with a +18

The team performed well overall and congratulations go to the men’s side who came second in section B…well done boys!
