Clarification: Letter From O&M President
There appears to be some confusion regarding the letter released by President Laureen on Tuesday 21st December. In an effort to clarify the policy on vaccination requirements for O&M Bowls Region Laureen has requested the following be posted:
- Victorian based O&M clubs – the status quo remains prior to the letter’s release;
- bowlers must be fully vaccinated to participate in Pennant and State events run at their clubs,
- entry to clubs are to be in accord with current Victorian Government Directives – in summary, must be double vaccinated or an excepted person (have an approved medical exemption) and sign in using QR code and show proof of vaccination.
Note: As and when vaccination requirements in Victoria changes, clubs/bowlers will be advised directly and via this website.
- Bowls Vic/O&M NSW based clubs – As there is no mandated requirement to be vaccinated in NSW to enter Pubs/Clubs, bowlers must comply with NSW Government Directives ie:
-
- comply with the rules of the club being attended. Some NSW clubs are still mandating full vaccination to enter their facilities so you will need to check prior to entry.
- Non or partial vaccinated players can participate in Pennant/State events run at Bowls Vic NSW affiliated clubs only.
