CANCELLED – Weekend Pennant – Round 1

Unfortunately, the 1st round of Weekend Pennant has been cancelled. This decision was not made lightly as the Pennant Committee is aware that everyone wants to get back to competition bowls. However, the decision was made based on the following:

• discussions with some of our Greenskeepers or representatives of clubs on the condition of their Greens after the rain on Friday,
• the likely impact and damage to Greens so early in the season,
• the weather forecast stretching over our entire region,
• the possibility of a limited number of clubs closing their Greens (due to likely damage) or the likelihood of getting through their games,
• time needed to prepare Greens prior to play.

As this round has been cancelled by the Pennant Committee there will be no catchup due to no club being disadvantaged.

We have waited so long to get back, hopefully it will be the last cancellation this season.
