Funeral Arrangements – Colin Campbell
Colin’s service will be held on 16 February at the Church of England in Yarrawonga at 11.00am. This will be a memorial service followed by a wake at the Yarrawonga Bowls Club.
It was sad to learn of the passing of Colin Campbell. The citizens of Tungamah and Yarrawonga will not only remember Colin as a bowler but for services provided to both towns outside bowls. He will be remembered by the older citizens of Tungamah as the Shire President and what he did for that township/region before he retired and moved into the big smoke of Yarrawonga.
Colin was heavily involved in bowls administration in our region for more than 35 years.
A legacy that Colin has left our Region is the booklet on the History of Ovens and Murray Group 6 – to shortly be posted to the Region’s website.
Many of our clubs and older bowlers will remember Colin for his management of our Pennant competition for in excess of 20 years. During his time as the Pennant Coordinator all Pennant was administered manually, including all Division ladders – not an easy task. It was only on Colin’s retirement as the Pennant Coordinator that our region transited to electronic Pennant management.
Colin’s Funeral will be conducted on 16 Feb 24 – No further details at this time.
A summary of Colin’s service is shown below (by no means covers all his service).
