Weekend Pennant – Extreme Heat Option

On current predictions it looks like we are heading for our first Pennant round of extreme heat next Saturday. All clubs and players are reminded of the option available to the Pennant Committee under the Pennant heat rule detailed as follows:

12.1     Heat

12.1.1       The Pennant Executive may cancel or move the start time for the round prior to the programmed start time should extreme temperatures be anticipated.

As advised at the Regions last AGM the Pennant Committee will be looking at the option of an early start time, for Weekend Pennant, on days of extreme heat rather than cancelling the round.

A decision will be made on Thursday on whether to take the option of a 10.00 am start. Once the decision has been made all clubs will be advised and the decision posted on the website.
