RESULTS OF O&M REGION EVENTS PLAYED AT COROWA CIVIC, 17 Feb 19

Finals of three State Events were completed at Corowa Civic BC ON Sunday 17th of February on good Greens in warm conditions.

Men’s State Singles Semi-Finals

Ian Brimblecombe Wangaratta defeated Mason Bayliss Wodonga 25 / 18

Tim Cromie Yarrawonga defeated Ryan Davies Corowa RSL 25 / 20

Final Men’s State Singles

Tim Cromie defeated Ian Brimblecombe 25 / 12 and will represent O & M Region at Champions Week in Bendigo in April

Men’s Champion of Champions Final

Thomas Webb defeated Ken Widdison 25 / 19 in a great display of draw bowling from both players and will represent O & M Region at Champions Week

Women’s State Pairs Semi-Finals

Mary Tragardh and Kylie Whitehead defeated Cheryl Raduczic and Elaine OShea from Bright 23 / 15

Kerri Leask and Sue Middleton a composite team defeated Sharon Warfe and Gail Banfield from Benalla 21 / 12

Final Women’s State Pairs

This Final between Kerri Leask and Sue Middleton and Mary Tragardh and Kylie Whitehead started with Kerri setting up a considerable early lead of 17 / 3 after 11 ends, and 19 / 10 after 16 ends when Mary & Kylie scored 6 shots on end 17 to close the gap to 2 shots, and scored 1 shot on end 18 to be give Kerri and Sue a victory in the Women’s State Pairs by the smallest of margins, 1 shot and will represent O & M Region at Champions Week in this event.

A Selection Trial to select the Side for the Women’s Region Sides Championships was conducted on Sunday afternoon, and the selectors will meet to finalise the side next Sunday.

Trials for the Men’s Region Sides will be held next Sunday afternoon at Corowa Civic BC
