RESULTS OF OVENS & MURRAY SECTIONAL PLAY FOR STATE MIXED PAIRS
PLAYED AT COROWA CIVIC BC ON SUNDAY 19TH OF JANUARY
Although Entries were down on the previous year the competition was tight across the 7 Sections for the 27 Teams participating, on good greens and milder weather than what we have been experiencing. There was a short break in play during a storm which produced lightning and some welcome rain.
RESULTS
Section 1 won by Jude & Rob Bartel from Kiewa Valley with 3 wins
Section 2 won by John & Lyn Foots from Mansfield with 3 wins
Section 3 won by Peta Mattys & Mark Bell from Wangaratta with 3 wins
Section 4 a tightly contested Section won by Garry & Claire Sanders with 2 wins + 21 shots
From Laurie & Barbara McDonald with 2 wins + 7 shots
Section 5 won by Mick & Caroline Reilly with 2 wins + 5 shots from Craig Cassell & Therese Alexander from Moira with 2 wins 0 shots up
Section 6 also tightly contested with 3 of the 4 Teams with 2 wins.
Won by Sam & Jess Widdop from Rutherglen with 2 wins + 25 shots from Dale Mastenbrook & Heather Schliebs from Kiewa Valley 2 win +15 shots and Adrian Pantling with2 wins +5 shots
Section 7 also had 3 of the 4 Teams winning 2 games, won by Ian Brimblecombe & Anne Miles a composite team with2 wins +26 shots from Thomas Webb & Kerri Leask another composite team with 2 wins +6 shots, and Paul Davies & Alice Bounader from Wodonga with 2 wins – 1 shot
The Post Section Knockout Rounds will be played on Sunday 23rd of February at Corowa Civic BC

Peta Mattys & Mark Bell will play John & Lyn Foots
Mick & Caroline Reilly will play Sam & Jess Widdop
Semi-Finals
Garry & Claire Sanders who receive a bye will play the winner of Jude & Rob Bartel & Ian Brimblecombe & Anne Miles
The winners of game2 & 3 will meet in the other Semi-Final
