Results – Bowls Vic State Fours Sectional Play

Below are the results of the State Fours played on 22 Sep 19.

MEN’S STATE FOURS

The Entries this year were very disappointing with only 8 Teams Entered, meaning that following the Sectional Play we are down to the Final.

Section 1

Won by Ian Brimblecombe (S), Ethan Fruend, Mark Bell & Craig Fruend from Wangaratta BC with 2Wins and a Draw

Second was Jim Lefevre’s Rink from YMGCR with2 Wins + 2

Section 2

Won by Josh Rudd (S) Mathew Robertson, Mason Bayliss and Paul Davies a composite rink with 3 Wins

Second was Rob Bartel’s rink from Kiewa Valley  with 1 Win and a Draw

The Final will be on a date to be fixed

WOMEN’S STATE FOURS

Eleven Teams entered the Women’s State Fours, playing in 3 Sections

Section 1

Won by Jude Bartel (S), Debra Crothers, Heather Schliebs, and Margaret Bates from Kiewa Valley with 2 Wins + 23 shots

Second was Jan Fisher’s rink from Rutherglen with 2 wins – 4 shots

Section 2

Won by Kerri Leask (S), Sue Middleton, Beth Parker, and Rhonda Irvine a composite side

With 2 wins and a Draw

Second was Cheryl Lewis (S), Trish Tobin, Willy Lockwood and Anne Corcoran a composite Team with 2 wins + 3 shots

Section 3

Won by Kylie Whitehead (S), Anne Miles, Claire Sanders, and Laureen Smith a composite Team with 3 Wins

Second was Sharon Warfe’s rink with 2 wins + 20

The Semi-Final will be between Jude Bartel and Kerri Leask at a date to be fixed and the winner will play Kylie Whitehead
