Results – Ovens and Murray Region Women’s Opening Day
RESULTS OF OVENS & MURRAY REGION WOMEN’S OPENING DAY
A most successful Women’s Opening Day Fours Tournament, with 32 Teams from across the Region participating, in perfect spring weather on very good greens at Corowa Civic BC on Wednesday 11th of September.
At the conclusion of the day’s competition 5 Teams had won 3 games.
In 5th place – a Corowa RSL Team Laurie Way (S), Maree Jones,
Maxine Burton (who had to withdraw after game 1) substituted by Merylyn
Milthorpe, and Rhonda Clarke with 3 wins + 7 shots
4TH place – were Anne Miles (S), Claire Sanders, Kim Johnson, and Barb Tennison from YMGCR with 3 wins + 9 shots
3rd place – Laureen Smith (S), Rhonda Irvine, Sue Middleton, and Caroline Reilly from YMGCR with 3 wins + 13 shots
Runner Up – GleniceBroderick (S), Julie White, Norma Edwards, and Judy Merkel from Benalla with 3 wins + 15 shots
Winning Team – were Edna James (S), Mary Essex, B Verbent and Shirley Potter from YMGCR with 3 wins + 17 shots
A most successful and enjoyable day was had by all who attended, many thanks to Corowa Civic for their great hospitality and catering for this annual event to get Season 2019 — 20 under way.
