 CONDITIONS OF PLAY

  • Start Time. Games to commence at 1.00pm. Roll up at 12.45pm. Play 25 ends with afternoon tea at 3:00 pm. Aggregate score to decide the winner. In the event of a tie, an extra end is played by all rinks to decide the result.
  • Home Side. The first named team above is to act as Home Side. The Home Side Captain is to:
    1. ensure that Score Cards are made out and signed after the game,
    2. the results are entered on the Pennant Check Form and signed by both Side Captains immediately after the game.
    3. Phone the results through to Mob: 0490 007 125
    4. Email/Text a copy of the signed Pennant Check Form to pennantoandmbowls@gmail.com or Mob: 0490 007 125. If this action is completed immediately after the game there is no need to phone results through.
  • Away Side. The Away Side is to ensure the teams are aligned and the results on the Pennant Check Form are correct then sign the Pennant Check Form.
  • The Side Captain (Manager). To collect $10.00 per player and hand to the Host Club Representative. This fee covers the Green fees and afternoon tea for players, non-playing manager (if any). Additional afternoon teas for emergencies need to be arranged with the host club at a negotiated cost.
  • The Host Club is to:
    1. Nominate a Host Club Representative and advise the Regions Pennant Coordinator
    2. Arrange umpires.
    3. Provide a Master Scoreboard and an attendant.
    4. Provide afternoon tea (roll or sandwiches) for the players and non-playing manager (if any).
  • Teams are to use Club coloured rings. If competing Clubs have conflicting colours the “visiting team” is to use an alternative colour or no rings.
  • The Host Club may run a raffle to offset any additional costs associated with hosting the event.
  • Finals games are not abandoned, if games are postponed due to inclement weather the game must be completed later in the day or if that is not possible, the following day or a date to be advised by the Pennant Committee.
  • Please refer to O&M Pennant Rules of Competition (Rule 8 and 9) in regard to Finals Conditions of Play and player eligibility (extract below).
